Founded by Lindsey L. Vandevier, Rosaspina is shaped by a background in theatrical design and a lifelong immersion in creative environments. Lindsey holds an MFA in Theatrical Design from Carnegie Mellon University, where she developed a rigorous understanding of space, light, structure, and composition — principles that continue to inform our floral work today.

Before opening Rosaspina, Lindsey spent over a decade designing for the theater and training in fine floristry, studying at FlowerSchool New York and working alongside some of New York City’s most respected floral studios. This foundation allows Rosaspina to approach flowers not simply as arrangements, but as expressive elements within a larger visual narrative.

Our work is defined by thoughtful design and a highly personalized process. We begin with premium blooms and considered color palettes, shaping each piece with attention to proportion, craftsmanship, and form; whether the design is intimate or expansive, a gift arrangement or a wedding installation. Guided by seasonality, texture, and subtle moments of whimsy, we favor florals that feel curated and expressive, creating work that is elevated, personal, and enduring rather than overstuffed or formulaic.

Over the years, Rosaspina has become a cherished part of the community, with a reputation built on care, creativity, and consistently elevated work. We are grateful to our clients for allowing us to be part of their most meaningful moments, and we look forward to bringing each new vision to life with intention, imagination, and artistry.

Where did the name “Rosaspina” come from?

The name Rosaspina is the Italian name for the fairy tale Sleeping Beauty - directly translated to “rose thorn” or Briar Rose, which is Sleeping Beauty’s given name in the original Grimm’s story. The name is a reflection of Lindsey's passion for the romantic culture and language of Italy and the origins, nostalgia, and fantasy of fairy tales - themes which inspire not only her custom florals and designs but also her life as a whole.
